By one man came death. By one man has come the resurrection of the dead.

In this week’s message, Paul takes us back to the beginning — to Adam, our federal head whose one act of disobedience plunged the human race into sin and death. But then he turns to the glorious second Adam, Jesus Christ, whose perfect obedience and victorious resurrection brings life to all who are in Him.

This is the deep logic of the gospel: what was lost in Adam is more than recovered in Christ. Death is not the final word. Resurrection is coming for every believer. The harvest has begun.

If you’re in Christ, your future is secure. If you’re not yet — there is a way out of Adam and into life.

"For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive" (1 Co 15:21–22).
